Darkfall Unholy Wars is an innovative, Real-Time, fast-paced, PvP, Sandbox MMORPG. There's only 2 servers so the population def is smaller than most mmo's. Originally conceived as an expansion to Aventurine's Darkfall, Darkfall: Unholy Wars has been totally redesigned as the sequel to the hardcore PvP cult-classic MMORPG. There's prob around 5k players on NA server. They also spent way to much time on combat, which was the best thing about the game that should have been left alone and they managed to make it worse and doesn't feel as smooth as it use to.ĭF1 was way to grindy at the start, but was in a good place near the end of it. The EU server has around 3100 players in clans + the unclaned wich you cant count and this number is rising by 100+ everyday.

That said the devs of RoA certainly didn't help, they removed the grind for leveling your character and made it to easy to obtain gear which was one of the main reasons people were out in the world and removing one of the biggest driving factors of pvp, also decreasing value of loot making the full loot aspect of the game less fun. This type of MMO is very popular but tends to lack long term reliability. One of the less talked about genres in online gaming are sandbox MMORPGs. Which makes other players leave because of lack of players. Each year the MMO market grows more and more competitive. I WILL IGNORE YOU IF YOU DON'T.Click to expand.Lets face it, unless RoA had a big budget and or team it was always going to fail pretty much what ever they did it, it is just to much of a niche game and will likely always lose the lower skilled players, making it so the next tier of players become the lower skilled players and so on because people cant stand to constantly lose.
